For HHSC and HHs serving Adults under 21, users are required to enter a member directly into the MAPP Children’s Portal as there are additional questions that need to be answered when enrolling a Child or Adult under 21.
You must create the segment both in FCM and MAPP on the same day!
Please remember that segments in FCM and MAPP should match. If the member enrolled into the program on 5/1/2023, then the segments in FCM and MAPP should also be for 5/1/2023. In addition, the segment type should also match--if the member has an enrolled segment in FCM, then the member should also have an enrolled segment in MAPP.
The way FCM knows what segments/edits to send up to MAPP is based on what the HHs/CMAs enter into FCM, with FCM being the source of truth. If you add a segment into FCM that isn’t in MAPP, we will know to send that up.
The reverse is also true. If FCM does not see a segment for a member, it will assume that the member should not have a segment in MAPP and send up a delete record in order to get MAPP to match what lives in FCM. Due to this logic, if you add a member through the Children’s Portal, but do not have a segment in FCM, that segment in MAPP will be canceled during the next MAPP sync. If you add them both on the same day, there should not be any issues with syncing and a segment will live both in FCM and in MAPP.
